This is (still) a very good hotel if staying for just a few days. We were in a junior suite and it was nice but a little dated. The closet was really tiny. The bed and pillows quite comfortable buy we did not like te view at all ( It was a wall !! ) We have stayed there before in a club room with a balcony and view to the garden and pool. When I read reviews of hotels I often skip the 5 star reviews because I want to know what problems I might encounter. I am not going to give any bad information because I can find nothing I did not like. It was quiet. immaculately clean. wifi was strong everywhere, great bathroom with plenty of hot water, AC was strong, staff was responsive, etc. We decided to eat breakfast every morning at the hotel because it had everything one could want. We stayed 6 nights.

FAQs about hotels in Mexico City

Aztec Capital and Vibrant Metropolis

As one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City could be better described as an experience than a city. Founded in 1325 by the Aztecs as Tenochtitlan, it was both destroyed and rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the capital of the United Mexican States and its most important economic and cultural center.

The city center’s cornerstone is the famous Plaza de la Constitución, commonly called Zócalo. It's surrounded by the presidential Palacio Nacional and the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.

The Avenida de la Reforma was built under the brief rule of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, while the deposed president Porfirio Díaz left a characteristic fusion of French-Mexican architecture. The 1960s saw a demographic explosion that only now is starting to be completely absorbed.

From the Chapultepec Parks and the chic Polanco, to the gay area of Zona Rosa and the Bohemian and intellectual Coyoacán: let Mexico City tell you its thousand secrets and stories.

Most of the hotels are located around the Reforma area, the Insurgentes Avenue and the Zócalo. If you’re looking for 5-star hotels in Mexico City, the modern Santa Fe area has a recently redeveloped business sector.

I was pleasantly impressed with Mexico City.

I was pleasantly impressed with Mexico City. Its people are very kind and respectful, and very proud of their roots, they know their history very well, and feel proud ot it. Despite the large number of inhabitants, it is a very clean city, and very well preserved. Their food is fascinating, I loved the tacos al Pastor from El Tizoncito, and the churros with chocolate.

From the moment I arrived, Mexico City captured my heart with its vibrant culture and warm hospitality. I had the pleasure of visiting iconic locations such as the majestic Castle of Chapultepec and its serene park, and I navigated the city with ease using the efficient metro and Metro bus services. A highlight was the enchanting boat ride through the canals of Xochimilco and a visit to the spiritual Basilica, each offering unique insights into the city's rich heritage. To top it all off, attending a Madonna concert was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that added an extra sparkle to my visit. The city's blend of history, culture, and modern attractions makes it a top destination for any traveler. I am already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this mesmerizing city to anyone considering a visit. Mexico City, you have left an indelible mark on my heart!

    I love visiting Mexico City.

I love visiting Mexico City. I have taken two vacation trips there in the last year. It is comfortable for a visitor with minimal Spanish language (but still, you should try, at least a little!). So many interesting and unique aspects. World class museums, fabulous murals, amazing archaeological sites, intriguing markets, memorable restaurants & street food, Lucha Libre, Ballet Folklorico, and much more. Go to Tours by Locals and arrange some outstanding guided tours (I have done 7 of them in Mexico City).

We had a wonderful time and always felt safe.

We had a wonderful time and always felt safe. However, we stayed in a hotel on the main plaza (zócalo) and there was an incredible amount of police and private security presence. Our hotel (Gran Hotel) had its own vetted taxi service, which we used exclusively. The sights in the city and surroundings are just amazing. We spent two days in the National Museum of Anthropology and could have easily spent more (informative texts and artifacts for every pre-Hispanic culture in Mexico -- think Smithsonian or NYC natural history museum. Amazing cuisine, parks, pyramids, art galore -- don't miss the murals in the Palace of Fine Arts), and on and on. Incredible city, not to be missed. Get a good guide book and go!!

The pollution in the city was off the charts.

The pollution in the city was off the charts. I lost two days to feeling awful. Traffic is terrible. Don't bother with Museo Soumaya...great building, probably the worst curated (not really even curated) collections of art...plus a lot of marble reproductions. The other museums are terrific, Condesa is beautiful to walk around, one of the best food cities. Aside from negatives, loved Mexico City!

I booked this hotel kind of last minute and truly debating where to stay in Mexico City as a solo traveler. I saw some minor bad reviews so was concerned but honestly had the best time here. It is such a convenient location and very safe. Highly recommend - perfect spot to walk around and check out coffee, restaurants etc. It also seemed like a good spot to be picked up from via Uber or travel pickups. The room was spacious and had AC which was perfect! I saw some comments about noise and no AC but it was not an issue for me.

First time staying in a boutique hotel and it was such a lovely experience. I'm so glad we canceled our Airbnb and booked with Hotel Villa Condesa instead. The staff were really friendly and kept the place so clean. Overall the place was so cozy and welcoming. We even spent one evening drinking wine on one of the outdoor patios in a thunderstorm cause we were so comfy...how can you beat that? If you're staying in Condesa and want a unique accomodation that's easily walkable to some amazing restaurants then book this!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Boutique Villa Condesa. There is nothing we can really fault. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location suited us perfectly and we were able to walk to most of our destinations, not one moment did we feel unsafe, day or night. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and options to choose from. Our room had all the facilities we've needed, comfortable bed, AC, lovely spacious bathroom with shower. If we stay in Mexico City again, we will definitely stay here again.

The best selling point of this hotel is its location. Yes, Zona Rosa is a very vibrant, boisterous neighborhood; if you need absolute peace and quiet, look elsewhere. For those seeking the convenience of being where all the action is, this location is ideal. The staff and facilities were great, also. After this hotel, I stayed at one of the other Eurostar hotels on Reforma that was absolutely awful compared to this hotel, so it appears that the brand is not consistent in its quality management.

The hotel was an absolute bargain! Big, comfortable room which was spotlessly clean in a very convenient location for seeing the sights of Mexico City. The decor is a little dated which may be why it was a bit cheaper, but that really didn't matter to us especially when we were out and about most of the day and just happy to come back to somewhere secure, comfortable and easily accessible. Shout out to Victor on the front desk who was very helpful.

The wonderful breakfast each morning in the lovely garden. The interesting guests we met. Being able to open the windows. Hearing the first bird of the morning chirp his hello. The little nooks throughout the hotel where we could relax. The wonderful decor and use of bold colors. The staff who were most friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms, fresh sheets, a carafe of water in our room each day. Our purple bathroom. The location Polanco.

When I missed my flight at the Mexico City airport and quickly needed to find a place to stay for the night, the huge markdown on such a well-located hotel really caught my eye. And sure enough, the property is a very elegant building with comfortable furniture and well-maintained interiors. And the Zona Rosa placement -- just a block from the intersection of Insurgentes and Reforma -- is a sleek, nearly unbeatable location.

Breakfast is ok, nothing special. The best thing is that there are two restaurants directly connected to the hotel which makes it easier to access food at almost any time. The room was done every day and staff was always very kind and attentive, however, I have the impression the room was never swept. The hotel is very well-located near the Parque Mexico, in a picturesque part of La Condesa. The architecture of the building and the interior design is exactly what you'd want in a boutique hotel in this neighborhood, Art Deco with modern touches and very pretty. The roof deck is also very nice and a good place to work or enjoy coffee or tea, etc. The staff was courteous and worked to accommodate us throughout the stay.

Roland at the front desk provided a 5 stars service. He was on point for recommendations and letting me know about the history of the city. The design of the hotel is incredible and location in polanco is perfect

The best location in Mexico city just across the road from parquet mexico. The hotel was very clean, the decor and style was unique. The hotel staff could not be more helpful and more friendly.
